STP opens shrimp hatchery in Indonesia

PT Suri Tani Pemuka inaugurated a 1.3-hectare shrimp hatchery located in Banten, Indonesia with a production capacity of 125 million fry per month.

PT Suri Tani Pemuka (STP), a subsidiary of PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JAPFA), inaugurated a 1.3-hectare shrimp hatchery located in the Anyer area, Serang Regency, Banten, Indonesia, local news reported. 

The production capacity of the hatchery is 125 million fry per month. The hatchery hopes to meet the needs of STP customers in a number of areas, such as Riau, Southern Sumatra, West Java to Central Java.

Anyer shrimp hatchery is equipped with advanced biosecurity and a modular production line. It produces shrimp resistant to various types of diseases and viruses with guaranteed traceability.

Currently, STP has eight production units of shrimp hatcheries spread across Indonesia located in Aceh, Lampung, Indramayu, Banyuwangi, Negara, Singaraja, Sumbawa and Makassar. In order to reach market needs and increase production capacity, this year STP will expand its operational locations by adding new units in Bangka and Rembang as well as expand shrimp hatcheries in Aceh and Sumbawa.
