The Aquatic Resources Authority of Panama (ARAP) and the Institute for Agricultural Innovation (IDIAP) signed a framework cooperation agreement to develop techniques that contribute to the genetic improvement of shrimp production, as part of the economic reactivation plan promoted by the Panamanian government. 

The five-year partnership aims to develop joint and specific actions to strengthen decision-making related to shrimp production. The partnership will be led by IDIAP that will also establish technical standards for the application of shrimp products.
