Fluctus has signed a contract with Proximar for the supply of water-feeding systems to their land-based facility in Japan.

Proximar has a strong focus on sustainability, and the use of water to transport the feed reduces both the energy requirement and the emission of microplastics from the feed hoses. In addition, water feeding provides a noise reduction – and less feed crush and dust are also expected.

“Fluctus’ water-based feed solution is well suited for RAS, especially to avoid dust and crush which is typically an extra burden for the water treatment in the facility. In addition, comes financial savings,” said COO of Proximar, Dharma Rajeswaran.

“We look forward to contributing to this exciting project and delivering a feeding solution that provides efficient feeding in a sustainable way,” said sales manager at Fluctus, Knut Bjarte Otterlei. “Fluctus has focused on making the system as simple and user-friendly as possible, both with a special water lock and an associated distribution valve. We are experiencing great interest in our solution, both in Norway and abroad.”
