NP Innovation introduced its latest development, BioGuard SWIFT, a disc filter panel for filtration in land-based fish farming. At the heart of this innovation is TIDE Technology (Tool-less Integrated Detachable Element), a design optimized for quick, tool-free maintenance. This patent-pending technology sets a new benchmark for disc filtration by combining functionality with an even more user-friendly design.
Anders Klemedtson, R&D Manager of NP Innovation, mentioned: “Thanks to the lid, the panel can be easily removed and replaced with no tools needed. Meaning faster service, maximized uptime, lower replacement costs and simplified technician training.” Klemedtson also added: “The panel has been engineered to improve the removal of large particles, designed to keep water cleaner, fish healthier, and farms more productive.”
The BioGuard SWIFT panel also provides direct access to the reject channel for easy inspection and effective washdown, offering a significantly improved capability for process oversight. Due to the lid, routine cleaning and hygienic maintenance become both simple and efficient.
The product has been developed with sustainability at its core. It’s made from a single recyclable material, glue-free, and designed to minimize shipping volume. Instead of replacing the entire cassette, users only need to change the panel:
- Resulting in less unnecessary waste
- Helping businesses to lower their environmental impact
- Reducing their spare part stock by up to 50%.
BioGuard SWIFT is designed with retrofit compatibility that integrates seamlessly into any land-based or RAS farm filter system.
In addition, Klemedtson said: “We understand that our customers are already running efficient operations with our current solutions. Now, with the BioGuard SWIFT panel, we’re taking an even greater step toward a more sustainable aquaculture industry.”
Johan Blomfelt, aftersales manager of NP Innovation, concluded: “We work closely with each customer to find the best fit, whether it’s a gradual upgrade with just a few discs or a full system overhaul. The key is flexibility. We make sure everything works smoothly with their current setup. In this sense, they can move forward at their own pace, without any disruption.”
