Developed by ADM’s hatchery and nursery feed company, BernAqua, NURSea® is a premium micro-extruded feed specifically designed for early-stage marine fish development.

Early-stage development is a critical period that impacts the whole lifespan of marine fish when key development and exponential growth and maturation occur within their immune and digestive systems. As such, the crucial hatchery phase requires the use of high-quality feed to positively impact fish performance from the larval phase to harvest.

NURSea® combines high-quality raw materials and unique technology to create an optimal feed solution to maximize the potential for fish during their most challenging life stages. Produced by a cold micro-extrusion technology, the formulation ensures the feed is highly digestible with an appropriate pellet behavior, as well as enables good water quality with no leaching of nutrients. By offering a range of feed sizes from 0.3 mm to 2 mm, farmers can adapt their pellet size as fish grow to ensure efficiency and avoid waste.

Additionally, the feed is specifically designed for marine fish feeding requirements and limits nitrogen excess through a precise nutrition approach. The formulation is also shown to support multiple marine fish species, including seabass, seabream, meager, barramundi and more.

ADM’s aquaculture experts understand the nutritional requirements of fish at all life stages, and they leverage a vast portfolio of ingredients as well as sophisticated technologies to create precisely designed nursery feeds to help ensure fish achieve growth and performance targets in the nursery stage and beyond.
