Senior R&D Engineer Aquaculture - Belgium

Nutriad is seeking a Senior R&D Engineer Aquculture in their headquarters in Dendermonde (Belgium). The successful candidate will lead R&D projects on product development and practical demonstration of the efficacy of aqua additives in a variety of species (shrimp, tilapia, marine fish, trout, pangasius), focused on developments in the area of aquaculture health and nutrition.

They will also contribute in scientific conferences and professional magazines with presentations/articles based on Nutriad’s research work; contribute with high-level technical product presentations and advice in customer/distributor seminars/visits; participate and represent Nutriad in selected research projects funded by EU/national funding agencies; and support central departments for registration, customer service, purchase, production.

The successful candidate should have a PhD or Master Degree (Agricultural Engineer or Biology degree with preference for MSc Aquaculture), hands-on experience in applied research and product development in aquaculture, and good scientific knowledge of the area of fish/shrimp health and/or nutrition. Experience in aquafeed formulation and/or manufacturing is a plus.

The new hire will be integrated into the central aqua team, headed by the global BU Director Aquaculture, and will report to the R&D Manager Aquaculture (daily work) and Business Development managers (project based). Office locations are Nutriad Dendermonde and Kallo, Belgium.
